In this two-day course, you will train the surgical treatment of complex pilon fractures on lifelike pre-fractured human specimens.

​

As an experienced surgeon, you will be able to deepen and expand your practical skills and knowledge in regards to complex pilon fractures.

 

Highly experienced instructors will guide you through the surgeries and provide immediate feedback as well as valuable tips and tricks ensuring  that you will have broaden your expert knowledge after the hands-on course.

​

The following topics are part of the course:

​

Holistic treatment of complex pilon fractures.

 

Independent surgery on pre-fractured human specimens.

​

Analysis of biomechanics and fracture to determine surgical approaches, reconstruction and plate position.

​

Selection of key fragment to determine primary surgical approach.

​

Analysis of initial dislocation to determine position of main implant.

​

Profound knowledge of anatomy (vasculature/angiosomes).
